First utility vehicles

The first utility vehicles were designed in the beginning of the 20th century, when the german engineers Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler, founders of the Daimler-Benz AG, invented the first motorized truck. Skip loaders and tippers transport loose material, like sand, gravel or dirt. They are equipped with hydraulic lift arms to tilt the open container on the back to dump the material inside or to lift the container down.
Concrete mixers and concrete pumps are used for delivering and to mix up the concrete at the construction site. The concrete pumps transfers the liquid concrete through hoses from the bottom up high where it’s needed. This can be very difficult, because the concrete is very heavy and the higher it has to be transferred, the better equipment is required.
