The skip loader’s construction is as simple as it is efficient.
A certain type of truck chassis forms the basic framework of the vehicle. On each site, there is a support arm attached to the framework. During the loading process, these arms pick up the container and place him directly at the truck bed, where he is immediately secured for the further transport.

Two supporting legs are arranged in an oblique position in order to obtain more stability. Using two hydraulic arms and a pneumatic controlled tipping hook the skip loader is able to pick up or set down a container in a horizontal way. In order to do so, the swivel arms are equipped with chains where the containers can be attached.

This technique allows the driver to lift the charge over and past any obstacle in its way, as for example fences or high walls. In some cases, it is even possible to control each arm individually. Thanks to that, a lot of time can be saved.

During the tipping procedure, a catch hook comes into action in order to keep the container in a certain angle of inclination.

While driving, the freight is secured by a so called clamping device. The clamping mechanisms are attached to the sidewalls of the skip loader and prevent the containers from slipping. In addition to that, a hydraulic controlled container locking mechanism secures the container in the front and in the back.

As a consequence, the skip loader fulfills all the obligations and characteristics the transport sector is looking for.
