To prevent cold air escaping during the process of charging and discharging the refrigerated semi-trailers are also equipped with so called cooling curtains in front of the doors.
Further special features are for example the lip seals which are attached to the door areas and enhance the door seal.

Other than for transporting food the refrigerated semi-trailer can also be used for the carriage of flowers or other goods which need to be kept cool.
