Truck trailers - the right choice for every transport

Truck trailers are not motorized vehicles. Trailers are not only used for trucks, but also for cars, tractors or even bicycles.

A trailer coupling serves as a connector between the trailer and the prime mover. Trailers are categorized in rigid drawbar trailers, semitrailers and multi-axle trailers. The so called rigid drawbar trailer is characterized by the shaft which is rigidly connected to the frame of the trailer. The semitrailer distributes its weight on the axles of the prime mover. Semitrailers with 2 or 3 axles are called tandem or tridem trailer.

The transportation of people within the trucks is not allowed. The driving speed is limited to 80 km/h on German roads. Since 1957 it was no longer allowed to carry two trailers. Today it is only possible under several conditions. Truck trailers are indispensable nowadays and are specialized on different purposes. With trailer trucks almost every good can be transported.
