Construction machines

Construction machines are equipment which are driven by a motor. These motors can be electromotors or combustion engines. These construction machines are generally applied in civil engineering. But there are also construction machines which are not only used for construction sites. In agriculture, on disposal sites, and in open-cast mining tippers are construction machines applied.

Tippers are generally used for the transport of bulk materials, for example on road work constructions. Therefore a truck is fitted with a dumper or tipper and depending on the transported material it is closed with a tarpaulin. Tippers are offered in different sizes. For heavy weights like large rocks there are stable aluminum tippers which have a low own weight. The advantage is that this increases the payload.

Especially in civil engineering the weight and the transport of heavy goods is very important. Some construction machines do not have a permission to drive on the streets. They are only allowed to drive on terrain.
Besides tippers are also other construction machines which are necessary for civil engineering, for example the concrete mixer. The concrete mixer belongs to the trucks which belong to construction machines. It is composed of a truck and a trailer which is fitted with a concrete mixer. The mixer is used for the preparation of fresh concrete in largest amounts. A concrete mixer trailer saves a lot of time because when concrete is needed the truck delivers already mixed up concrete which is ready to be installed. The drum in the mixer trailer rotates because the concrete shall not get dry or clumpy. These truck mixers are permitted to drive on streets. Often a special concrete pump is used for conveying the fresh concrete out of the truck.

Another kind of construction machines are cranes. Special vehicles are fitted with a crane which is mobile. These are applied for the construction of high buildings or for the transport of bulky items to the roof of a building. This is much more time saving and cheaper than the application of a helicopter.
